Le Rêve est le titre de l'une des peintures de Toyen. Cette artiste tchèque, qui a vécu et est décédée en France dans une pauvreté absolue, faisait partie intégrante du groupe surréaliste français. Aujourd'hui, ses œuvres se vendent à des sommes considérables, comme La Chambre secrète sans serrure (1966), adjugée à 1,5 million d'euros.
L'œuvre Le Rêve est un hommage à ses peintures, que je transpose en trois dimensions. J'utilise des structures légères entrelacées dans des arbres denses, sur lesquelles sont fixées des morceaux de bâche plastique. Ceux-ci scintillent sous la lumière du soleil et flottent au gré du vent, donnant naissance à un nouveau monde fictif en harmonie avec le feuillage.
The Dream is the title of one of Toyen's paintings. This Czech artist, who lived and died in France in absolute poverty, was an integral part of the French Surrealist group. Today, her works sell for considerable sums, such as The Secret Room Without a Lock (1966), which was auctioned for 1.5 million euros.
The artwork The Dream is a tribute to her paintings, which I transpose into three dimensions. I use lightweight structures intertwined with dense trees, on which pieces of plastic tarp are attached. These shimmer under the sunlight and float with the wind, giving birth to a new fictional world in harmony with the foliage.

Fort de son parcours en architecture, il accorde une grande importance au contexte et à l’intégration de ses œuvres dans le paysage. Il a réalisé des installations publiques en Europe et participé à de nombreux colloques et expositions.
A visual artist from the Czech Republic, he studied architecture before training in sculpture at the Academy of Arts in Prague. His work explores recycling, the changing functions of objects, and incorporates natural light.
Drawing on his background in architecture, he places great importance on context and the integration of his works into the landscape. He has created public installations across Europe and participated in numerous symposiums and exhibitions.
